Emma recently graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama with a distinction for her Post Graduate Diploma in Vocal Studies. Whilst in Cardiff she was taught by Elizabeth Atherton and coached by Sharon Richards. In the summer of 2019 she was thrilled to perform in the chorus of the Welsh National Opera in their production of Jake Heggie’s ‘Dead Man Walking’, as well as singing in the BBC Proms with the BBC National Chorus of Wales. 

Recent stage roles include Madame Goldentrill in Mozart's 'The Impresario' at the RWCMD last Autumn, and the role of the stereotypical ‘Soprano’ in Tom Johnson’s ‘The Four-Note Opera’ as part of the RWCMD’s summer opera season 2019. Previous stage experience includes the title role in Princess Ida with Grosvenor Light Opera, reprising that role at The International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in the summer of 2018. Mariuccia in Nino Rota's I due timidi  (Handmade Opera), 1st Witch (cover) and chorus Dido &... (Helios Collective) Miss Jessel The Turn of the Screw (Secret Opera), Suor Genovieffa Suor Angelica (Secret Opera), Sidonie Armide (Woodhouse Opera), Dorothy Dorothy - a new opera by James Cook (Secret Opera), Anne Page The Merry Wives of Windsor (Brent Opera), Emmie Albert Herring (Harrow Opera), Adele Die Fledermaus (Wimbledon Light Operatic Society), Young Heidi Follies (WLOS), Chorus/Bridesmaid Trial By Jury (Maldon Music Festival), Chorus Otello (Everybody Can! Repertoire experience in extended scenes includes the roles of Cio-Cio-san in the letter duet of Madama Butterfly, Countess in the Act II finale of Le nozze di Figaro, Mrs. Jones in Street Scene's opening number Ain't it Awful (Oxenfoord International Summer School). Josephine H.M.S Pinafore (Maldon Music Festival), Fiordiligi Così fan tutte, (City Lit Opera), Servilia La clemenza di Tito, Flora Turn of the Screw, Cleopatra Giulio Cesare (Associated Studios).  As a session singer, she has recorded backing vocals for Russell Watson on his albums Encore and The Voice, produced by Decca.


She has also completed the advanced opera course at Associated Studios, and participated in masterclasses with mezzo-soprano Yvonne Howard (ROH/ENO/OHP), Sophie Joyce (Assistant Casting Director, ENO), and heldentenor John Upperton (ROH/ENO).
